Petr Cech was presented with a framed photograph to honour his Premier League clean sheet record ahead of Arsenal’s tie with Newcastle at the Emirates on Saturday.
The legendary 33-year-old goalkeeper broke the record when the Gunners beat Bournemouth 2-0 on Monday.
Cech has now kept 170 clean sheets in the English top division, surpassing David James previous record of 169 – remarkably, Cech managed the feat in just 352 matches compared to James’ 572 games.
Gooners are hoping the veteran shot-stopper continues his barnstorming form into 2016 as Arsenal continue their push for the Premier League title.
