Liverpool 1-0 Swansea City: Milner's 2nd half penalty gives Klopp's men the win #LFC
Ok, so it wasn't pretty. But it was pretty important, nonetheless.
Liverpool are up to sixth in the Premier League table after a 1-0 win over Swansea City at Anfield on Sunday. James Milner's second-half penalty secured Jurgen Klopp his first home league win as Reds boss, and puts his side within six points of the Premier League summit in the process.
Not bad, considering where the club was a couple of months ago.
There were further boosts for Reds fans, as both Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge made their returns from injury as second-half substitutes. Philippe Coutinho, who missed the game, is expected to shake off a hamstring injury in time for the trip to Southampton in the Capital One Cup quarter finals on Wednesday.
Not a bad day's work then?
